Indian Cinema..Persian comment....

The star director of Persia Majid Majidi say to Vishwas kulkarni in an interview (Mumbai mirror, June18,2010) that why can not indian make films of international stature?
Majid Majidi--Indian Cinema is in a very sad situation. They have not been able to come up with the standards to be accepted by the world. They are not using their faculties, economic or cultural.there are potentially good actors here.Indians have a wide viewer base. Indian cinema has access to lots of money. I am therefore saddened that the outcome is zero.An industry produces 600 films should produce at least 40-50 films of inter national standards at least. But clearlythis is not the case.

What you say? Its a invitation for discussion.
